Ways to boost the Tunisian-Palestinian partnership in the social field were at heart of Social Affairs Minister Malek Ezzahi's meeting with Palestinian Labour Minister Nasri Abou Jaish, held Monday on the fringes of their participation in the 48th Arab Labour Conference.
During the meeting, Ezzahi reaffirmed Tunisia's support to the Palestinian People and his ministry's readiness to promote experience and expertise sharing between both countries, a ministry press release reads.
He reviewed his ministry's main social programmes, including notably the social welfare system, occupational health and safety, as well as the experience of social dialogue between the government and its social partners.
For his part, the Palestinian minister voiced readiness to open up new partnership avenues with Tunisia so as to make the most of its experience in the social welfare and occupational health fields. He further commended the level of Tunisian skills, notably in the social field. (TAP)
