A married couple, a widow or a divorced  person of good conduct, psychological  preparation and health and financial capability    to raise a child. 

• Law No. 1958‐27 of March 4, 1958 relating  to public guardianship, sponsorship and  adoption.
•  Law No. 1967‐47 of November 21, 1967,  relating to the status of children in families 
• The circular of the Minister of Social Affairs  No. 20 dated October 21, 2020, relating to the  deposit family commission and the criteria  used for the selection of families designated  to embrace the children of the Tunisian  governorate. 
• Order of the Minister of Social Affairs dated 30  January 2020, revising the order dated 19  March 2003 relating to the bonuses granted  to families with children within the framework  of foster care and to those born out of  wedlock Two hundred dinars (200 d) per  month. 

• An application signed by the applicant and  their spouse 
• A copy of the marriage contract or marriage  certificate (or the content of the death of the  spouse or a copy of the divorce decree if  necessary) 
• Four (4)  envelopes  with stamps  

The following documents are required for all  candidate‐adopters : 

• Birth Certificate 
• A medical certificate attesting that you are  free from contagious diseases and that you  are in good enough health to take care of the  child in the context of adoption 
• Annual declaration of liberal profession  income 
• A copy of the national identity card 
• Two photos

* The assessment of the social and economic  situation as well as the psychological  preparation of hosting families applicants are  carried out by a social agent and a  psychologist
