
"Program" for the maintenance of women and children victims of violence
This programme aims at monitoring and directing women and children victims of violence to various social and psychological briefing programmes for vulnerable social groups in various social development structures and providing shelter on a casual basis for victims to protect them until the threat is eliminated. The legislative framework of the programme is Act No. 58 of 2017 of 11 August 2017 on the elimination of violence against women.
Activities completed:
- Establishing focal points for various social development structures to monitor the commitment of women and children victims of violence by preparing periodic reports on activities in the field supported by periodic statistical data on services provided to victims of violence and awareness-raising activities to prevent violence against women and children;
- Appointment of representatives of the Ministry of Social Affairs in the regional coordinators for combating violence against women, established by the Ministry of the Family, Women and Children and the elderly;
- Participation in the formulation of the national strategy for the extraction of indicators of gender-based violence;
- Drafting of the Directory of Women Victims of Violence in the Social Sector + the Protocol of Engagement for Women Victims of Violence in the Social Sector;

- Accommodation in social welfare institutions, briefing and social guidance centres in Tunisia, Sousse and Sfax.
