Pre-judgement

  • Children's counsellors activity
  • A joint decision by the Minister of Justice and the Minister in charge of Social Affairs on the control of an appended nominal list of children's advisers to child justice comprising 144 social workers and psychologists. Their tasks are to illuminate the judiciary by attending hearings and filing reports for the judge on the child's psychosocial situation
     

Through the provision

  • Activity of the Social Centre for Children's Observation
  • A child filed with a court order shall be subject to a renewable period of one month's observation.
     

Post-judgement period

  • Follow-up of children demobilized from educational reform centres by defence and social inclusion centres and social development departments
  • A cooperation agreement on the care, rehabilitation and reintegration of children in conflict with the law is currently under way between the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Tunisians abroad on 30 November 2010.
