Grant conditions /Legal framework
For a person with disability:
- Be free from any contagious disease
For the host family:
- Availability of healthy housing
- The consent of the spouses to accept the disabled person
- The need to have someone to manage the affairs of the sponsored person
- That all members of the host family are free from infectious and mental illnesses
- A family cannot support more than two disabled people

File documents
- A copy of the sponsor's national identity card and a copy of the spouse card
- Written consent is defined as the signature of the sponsorship of a person with a disability
- A certificate proving that the family is free from infectious and mental illnesses
- A commitment from the host family to treat the disabled person well and provide for their basic needs
- A copy of the current account
- A medical certificate for a disabled person
- Birth certificate
- A copy of the disability card
- A copy of the spouse's national identity card
Submission of file / Service Delivery Deadline
- The file submitted to the local social promotion unit, which is territorially responsible for the student (the place of residence)
- It could be submitted either to the Regional Department of Social Affairs, or to the Department of Social Promotion
- The request must be answered within 30 days from the date of file submission
- The file will be brought to the attention of the Regional Commission for Persons with Disabilities of the Department of Social promotion located in each governorate
- Preparation of the deposit decision of the guardian family by the Minister of Social Affairs
- Social services officers monitor the health and living conditions of the person sponsored by the sponsoring family
- The aforementioned regional commission will consider the termination of sponsorship cases depending on the situation
Notes
The host family receives orientation, support and follow‐up visits. In case of proven negligence in the treatment of the sponsored person, indeed the regional commission can propose to end this sponsorship, in these urgent cases, the governor put a temporary end to the cases of sponsorship.
