Second Chance Program for Teenagers
The second chance project is being implemented within the framework of a cooperation program between the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Social Affairs (the General Authority for Social Advancement) and the Ministry of Vocational Training and Employment, with the support of UNICEF and funding from the British government
. This project aims to prepare a joint plan by creating new mechanisms for the benefit of male and female adolescents and those who have dropped out of school with the aim of responding to their specific needs and integrating them educationally and socially. Three models of the Second Chance School have been established in three states.
- The Institute of Professions in Bab Al-Khadra as the first site in the north is due to the Ministry of Education,
A training center in the Kairouan region refers to the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Professional Integration as a second location.
The Center for Defense and Social Integration in Gabes as a third model site due to the Ministry of Social Affairs, which will be launched in 2022.
The start of the second chance project in Bab Al-Khadra, Tunis, on April 6, 2021, was given by the Prime Minister.
