Social Security Program
The legal framework governing social assistance programmes was developed for the first time in Tunisia through the issuance of the Basic Law and not the Social Safety Program on 30 January 2019, which included many qualitative additions :
- New definition of poverty based on multidimensional approach
- A target model and a drip system with a structured scientific approach that ensures the measurement of poverty scores and redress of disadvantaged, privatized and socially vulnerable groups based on a rights-based approach
- National Plan for Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction
- A high committee for Social Development opens the way to employ all development programmes to prevent poverty and to incorporate positive discrimination for families and poor and vulnerable individuals out of poverty
- A database of poor and low-income families collecting all data in a scientific manner that respects international standards and aims at their credibility from their reliance on high technologies and intersecting their data with the majority of databases of State interests and institutions
- A sophisticated and integrated information system based on the social identifier system,
