The 77th session of the executive office of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs (CAMSA), being held on October 19 and 20 in Amman, has approved a set of projects presented by the Ministry of Social Affairs.
Social Affairs Minister Malek Ezzahi presented the components of the project to redevelop the psycho-educational and social complex for autistic children in Sidi Hassine, the Department said in a statement. He also introduced the project to redevelop the vocational rehabilitation centre for persons with motor disability and the injured in Manouba, as part of projects financed by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development.
Ezzahi called to find new funding sources for social security funds that represent an insurance for the social protection of different groups of society. He reviewed Tunisia's experience in the field of social and solidarity economy, and its importance for vulnerable groups, with the aim of integrating them in the economic and social life.(TAP)
Other issues were discussed during this session, including the preparations for the 4th Regional Conference of the Arab Forum for Women with Disabilities to be held in Egypt.
