Italy's Minister for Disability Alessandra Locatelli Monday October 02, 2023 said her country wants stronger multi-faceted cooperation with Tunisia.
Italy also is keen to support the International Centre for the Promotion of People with Disabilities, Locatelli further said as she met with Minister of Social Affairs Malek Ezzahi on the sidelines of the high-level Forum on the Second Arab Decade of Disabled Persons 2023-2032 held last October 1-2.
Locatelli hailed Tunisia for efforts to support people with disabilities, notably by means of upgrading the legal framework which guarantees their rights.
The visiting official outlined the Italian experience in caring for people with disabilities and emphasised the importance of exchanging visits and experiences.
Ezzahi shed light on the main services provided by the International Centre for the Promotion of People with Disabilities.
Tunisia, he said, is committed to consolidate relations for increased support for persons with disabilities. (TAP)
